Liaises with: Warehouse, Finance, HR, Operations, I.T/Systems, Marketing, Stores Purpose Mothercare Singapore is looking for a Buyer who will be responsible for managing of feeding and babycare category. To be successful in this role, the Buyer should possess strong analytical skills, come with good vendor and brand management experience, passionate to drive category growth. The ideal candidate must be an effective communicator and a self-starter. Role Duties & Responsibilities Category Management . Plan, drive and execute category strategy while taking full ownership of the category . Delivers budgeted sales and margin targets at class level. . Drive category top line and bottom line . Maintains relationships with existing suppliers and sources new brands . Manages online and in store pricing planning of promotion and markdown strategy for all channels . Maintains healthy inventory level, ensures replenishment are done in a timely manner. Planning of clearance for aging and discontinued stocks . Range planning for in store and online . Plans OTB of seasonal buys, attends buying conference and executes buys Vendor Management . Work closely with suppliers to build brands together, to ensure the success of the brands in store . Always on the lookout for new and interesting trends and brands . Ensure Mothercare prices are aligned with the local distributor prices, and are always competitive Space Planning . Works with Operations team to develop category planograms/option counts . Conducts store-level analysis to maximise the space and drive sales through optimum store ranging . Interacts with store managers/supervisors to discuss best sellers and merchandise placement Training . Conducts training on new product and seasonal launches Key Decisions & Problem Solving . Product selection planning for each season . Analyses per department, per store performance to be able to buy accordingly . Range and planograms for each store . Analyses stock turnover and decide on promotions whenever necessary Competencies Behavioral . Resonates with core company values of Nurture', Honour', Unite' with Integrity'. . Well-versed in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel (Vlookup, pivot table). Good worksheets skills to generate structured reports Key Results Area & Objective .
