The right candidate should have skills in purchasing indirect and packaging materials to ensure company operational needs will be met by considering the price, quality, delivery, and continuity of supply.
Job Responsibilities:
Sourcing, negotiating, and buying of materials, and services to meet the companys operational requirement, considering prices, quality, and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply.
Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations. Act as an interface between suppliers and relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities.
Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers, provide analysis on costs, new and existing and review cost reduction activities.
Work closely with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous improvement and business improvements. To ensure appropriate inventory always to meet our production needs.
Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings and procurement best practice tools and methods. Ensure to obtain the most competitive prices offer from approved suppliers and to document all offers on prices comparison.
Prepare and raise Purchase orders. Build, maintain and manage suppliers relationship and keep up good communication.
Contact suppliers to resolve quality, prices, delivery and or invoice issues as and when required.
Attend meetings and update others on issues or concerns, prepare updates and reports as and when required.
Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and contracts process if any. To ensure that all documents are processed promptly, and record updated.
Assess and evaluate supplier performance reviews, compiling data to facilitate evaluations of supplier performance. Aim to acquire the best possible deal on materials/suppliers by sourcing alternative materials/suppliers.
Maintain system integrity of suppliers\' information in the ERP system, including new supplier set-up, items suppliers connect, purchasing agreements, and supplier basic data like minimum order quantity, order multiple, responsible purchaser, procurement group and supplier maintenance.
To audit supplier supply capability and quality standard when required. Maintain proper documentation in accordance to ISO procedures.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain/Business Management or equivalent
Min. of 3 years of relevant experience in procurement function and or Supply Chain management
Familiar with full functions of the procurement process
Work independently and solve problems analytically with good communication skills.
