Install and route structured cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, fibre optic, etc.) in both new and existing buildings.
Carry out cable pulling, dressing, termination, and labelling in line with industry best practices.
Support electrical isolation and basic electrical works when required, under the supervision or approval of an EMA-licensed electrician.
Test, inspect, and troubleshoot cabling systems using appropriate testing tools and equipment.
Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
Ensure all installations comply with quality standards, safety requirements, and relevant regulatory guidelines (including EMA regulations where applicable).
Work closely with team members, contractors, and project managers to meet project timelines.
Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in safe and good working condition.
Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including installation records and test results.
Job Requirements:
Experience in cabling, cable installation, or a related technical role is an advantage.
Basic understanding of structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI) is a plus.
Physically fit and able to perform manual work, including lifting equipment.
Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
Able to use hand and power tools such as drills, cable testers, and termination tools (training provided if required).
Basic knowledge of workplace safety practices and regulations.
Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
Possession of an EMA Electrical Worker Licence (e.g. Electrical Technician Licence) is an advantage.
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to different work sites are an advantage.
