Responsibilities:

• Under broad direction, provides user support for CAD (Computer Aided Design), CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) and/or PDM (Product Data Management) related activities via telephone and computer (e-mail) with minimal assistance.
• Lead troubleshooting system-level problems.
• Analyze user-reported software, hardware, or network problems
• Prepare training materials to be used in classroom training events
• Reviews training material prepared by junior staff members
• Conducts training.
• Assists and mentors more junior members of the team.
• Analyzes user feedback/system data and prepares functional specifications for system development.

Requirements:

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) related discipline and 4 years of related engineering experience
• Experience with SolidWorks, SoldWorks Model Based Definition (MBD), and DimXpert preferred
• Knowledge of and experience with CAD data exchange including neutral formats and the Quality Information Framework (QIF) desirable
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing certification preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing methods (e.g., machining, additive, casting, forming, & joining) desirable
