Cafe Retail Associate*
A Cafe Retail Associate supports the daily operations of our cafe and store. As a Cafe Retail Associate, your job duties may include taking food and beverage orders, stocking pastry displays and other inventory, processing payments, and cleaning the facility. More importantly, you are required to assist customers answering any questions, placing orders, and processing payments. You need strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills, as well as attention to detail. You may be required to assist in making drinks and heating up food. Note that in this role you may be required to work on weekends and/or public holidays.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests and provide excellent customer service to any customers

• Provide proper product and/or service suggestions to customers

• Man the cashier and process sales

• Assist in making drinks and/or heating up food

• Serve customers - both takeaway and in-store

• Manage stock and take inventory

• Ensure outlet is kept clean and tidy at all times

• Adhere to the company's standard operating procedures

• Any other duties assigned by the manager or supervisor

• Learn about the company and brand and be confident in answering any questions from the public

Experience and Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a cafe or retail environment is required

• Previous experience working in a team is required

• Previous experience working in a customer facing role is required

• Previous experience as a barista is a plus

• Ability to work without supervision

• Ability to deal sensitively with the general public

• Ability to prepare and serve food

• Have strong interpersonal skills and are friendly and approachable

• Possess strong organizational skills

• Willingness to learn

• Computer literacy with knowledge of POS systems is a plus
