Job Description


Job Responsibilities * Operations

  • Understanding floor plans and requirements
  • Briefing attendant
  • Setting up of various functions
  • Operating air wall
  • Preparing equipment for set up
  • Checking room after room has been completed
  • Report to supervisor after job is done
  • Knowing when, where, how what equipment are required for the job
  • Complete preparation work in accordance to departmental standards
  • Complete pre-function side work:
  • Check quality and amount of all stock and supplies using checklist
  • Requisition all necessary supplies and transport from storeroom to service area
  • Set tables according to the service standards
  • Set up all necessary according to the service standard
  • Requisition of linens and skirting required for business to transport such to function area
  • Inspect the schedule function area/room for cleanliness, working condition and proper furniture/equipment set up; rectify any deficiencies with respective department
  • Greet guests upon arrival at function and assist in seating as required by group in accordance with departmental standards
  • Anticipate guest\'s needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whenever time of day. Promote positive guest relations at all time
  • Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond accurately to any guest inquiry
  • Handle guest complaints by following the instant pacification procedures and ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Remove all linen and equipment from function room as designated by function requirement and in accordance with departmental policies
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and working conditions of departmental equipment, supplies and work areas
  • Complete all closing duties
  • Properly store all reusable items
  • Breakdown all goods as specified in departmental standards
  • Clean all equipment as assigned
  • Restock items for next service
  • Remove all dirty linen and transport to laundry
  • Marry and stock all condiments
  • Secure storage areas
  • Admin- reports
  • Submit documents (i.e. Leave form, Medical Certificate, No Show etc.)
  • Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist on other functions as assigned
  • Special Functions
  • Assist supervisors on side duties
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education & Certification
  • Completion of high school \xe2\x80\x9cO\xe2\x80\x9d Level
Experience
  • Minimum 1 years in customer service / guest contact roles, preferably in a hospitality organization

  • Ability to lead by example with honesty and integrity
  • Ability to exceed guest expectations
  • Ability to analyze and improve process and procedures
  • Ability to interact and solve opportunities with employees and guests
  • Ability to adapt and take advantage of different working environment, staff, guests and opportunities
  • Able to lift up to 10KG without assistance
  • Able to work on a 24 hour rotating shift
  • Able to work weekends & public holiday
  • Able to work standing up to 8 hours
