Care Assistant - Day Activity Centre
The Care Assistant supports the Day Activity Centre in providing quality care and daily living assistance to clients. The role helps clients with personal care and mobility needs, enabling Training Officers and Senior Trainers to focus on training and interventions.
Responsibilities:
Assist clients with personal care, toileting, hygiene, and handwashing.
Support clients' independence and participation in daily routines and activities.
Help with meal preparation and feeding, including cutting food and monitoring intake.
Accompany clients during transport, ensuring safe boarding and alighting.
Provide mobility support and ensure client safety within the center.
Observe and report changes in clients' behavior or condition.
Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment.
Assist with setup and cleaning of activity and care areas.
Ad hoc assignments by Supervisor
Qualifications and Experience:
Preferably with WSQ Certificate in Community Care
Experience in disability, eldercare, or special needs settings an advantage.
Physically fit, patient, and compassionate.
