The primary purpose of the Care associate position is to provide a variety of departmental support functions that contribute to the overall efficiency of the Case Management Department. The most important of these functions are communication, customer service, data entry, record retrieval and the preparation, privacy and maintenance of all records and other duties as assigned.Main Duties / ResponsibilitiesResponsible for authorization data collection and/or data entry into computer system from incoming calls or faxes.support the daily functions and Assign tasks to case managerAnswers inquires, gathers information, resolves routine matters, and responds to minor complaints or problems received through inbound phone queue.May maintain documentation for regulatory review, participate in education of members / providers regarding plan benefits, and make referrals to other departments.May interact with other departments and external vendors.Will complete authorization request from providers via phone call, incoming fax or provider portal.Will distribute request to appropriate Clinician.
