DESIGNATION : Care Associate, Daycare *

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Care Associate, you will assist to deliver care duties to our seniors at Senior Day Care Centre (SCC). You will be part of an integrated care team that delivers a person-centred care model for our seniors, including persons with dementia. Ideally, this person should also be promoting seniors\xe2\x80\x99 independence and maintaining their cognitive and physical functions. This person will facilitate small-group activities in SCC to enable seniors to gain dignity and fulfilment. You will assist in the day-to-day operations of the centre by carrying out the following duties:

• Support basic activities for daily living (ADLs), including assistance with personal hygiene, mobility and transfers, toileting, diaper changing, feeding
• Monitor clients\xe2\x80\x99 medical and health conditions
• Facilitate small group activities and exercises catered to seniors\xe2\x80\x99 interests and hobbies, including persons with dementia
• Perform general housekeeping to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the centres
• Escort seniors to and from centres and transportation vehicles

• Assist with centre open houses and other company events
• Any additional duties assigned by your supervisor to support the centre.

• Certificate/ Training in Healthcare or equivalent
• Ability to listen and express clearly in English
• Proficiency in digital tools (WhatsApp, Youtube, Zoom)
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Have a caring, empathetic and patient personality to form positive relationships with seniors and caregivers
• Service-oriented with client-first mindset
• Proactive and observant in identifying and attending to the needs of seniors

• Some experience in social service or healthcare industry would be an advantage
• Facilitation skills and knowledge would be an advantage

• Minimum GCE \xe2\x80\x98N\xe2\x80\x99 or \xe2\x80\x98O\xe2\x80\x99 Level
• PSLE education certification would require an additional IELTS certification
