Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements.
Measure, mark, and arrange materials according to specifications.
Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials. This includes framing, roofing, siding, drywall, and molding.
Build and install cabinets, shelving, furniture, and other custom woodworking projects.
Shape and cut materials to precise measurements using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines.
Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
Work collaboratively with other construction professionals, such as project managers, electricians, and plumbers.
Follow established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Ensure all work is completed on schedule and to the highest quality standards.
Requirements & Skills:
Proven experience as a professional Carpenter.
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation and construction.
Proficiency in using a wide array of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery (e.g., saws, drills, sanders, routers, planers).
Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, and drawings.
Excellent understanding of math concepts and strong measuring skills.
Good physical condition, with endurance to perform demanding tasks (lifting heavy materials, standing, climbing, bending for long periods).
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program or vocational training is a significant plus.
