An attractive Cash Management Associate job has just become available at a reputable securities firm based in Singapore.

About the Cash Management Associate Role:
In this role, you will be part of the cash management team, based in both Hong Kong and Singapore. Your primary responsibility of the role is to ensure that your team accurately and efficiently deliver cash funding processes and tasks on day-to-day basis. You will work closely with the front office, treasury as well as other control functions to ensure the company operates in a controlled environment while delivering superior client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately forecast and fund trading activities settling across all nostro bank account accounts and custodians
  • Actively manage cash in all currencies and locations \'real time\', intra-day monitoring of the forecast cash positions against the actual settlement
  • Communicate balances and exposures to the treasury desk, front office and with operations teams to ensure funding is smooth at currency deadlines
  • Ensure additional costs such as overdrafts or negative interest are kept at a minimum
  • Assist with processing of P&L related to overdraft interest charges and third-party interest claims/fail charges ensuring a monthly reconciliation is performed across relevant balance sheet accounts
  • Monitor cash reconciliation to ensure outstanding items are kept to a minimum and any breaks are investigated and resolved
  • Support to build up funding or operational process flows and contribute to project work as required
  • Respond to internal and external enquiries in a timely manner
  • Cross train and cover other departments/team members across cross-product services as and when required
  • Ensure appropriate KRIs and KPIs are in place
To succeed in this Cash Management, Associate role, you will be expected to possess at least three years of experience within the cash management sector, supporting front office traders. The right candidate will also possess strong communications and a can-do attitude.

Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent in Finance, Business or any relevant discipline
  • At least three to five years of relevant work experience in similar roles, within a financial institution
  • Familiar with Derivatives, Securities and Repo financial products
  • Knowledge of OTC derivatives products, bonds and securities
  • Experienced in Swift formatting experience in particular payment messages such as MT103, MT202, etc.
  • Expert knowledge of nostro, liquidity and cash management functions and processes
  • Ability to identify, mitigate and eliminate risks in processes
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A positive attitude with keen eye for improvements
