Enhance the total value proposition and delivery of the purchasing organisation, driving execution of the strategy at a category level and ensuring synergy program achievement.
Ensure delivery of the P+ targets, projects and implementation of the category strategies for the BU\'s within the area of responsibility (i.e. Resins Category)
Facilitate the implementation of procurement strategic sourcing plans, understanding, acknowledging and resolving roadblocks ensuring prompt initiative implementation
Represent category requirements within the procurement organisation and act as a central focal point for BU communication and ensuring category requirements are recognised within purchasing strategy
Interface with the full breadth of the procurement organisation with a focus on execution and compliance, and ensure best practice and local procurement activity development.
Support the Resins category by using best purchasing practices, ensuring pooling of spend/commodities across plants or regions is performed when relevant or achievable, and making sure that all relevant category procurement saving initiatives are recorded within the group Procurement savings tool.
Support central purchasing tools and processes, in the form of implementation, maintenance or utilisation.
Work seamlessly with other group functions that have a category focus (i.e. CI) ensuring commonality of purpose and shared resource input.
Principal Accountabilities Build strong relationships within the specific area of responsibility (i.e. Resins Category) between the BU\'s, central organisations, and Group Procurement
Build and maintain strong relationship between the key stakeholders at BU and category level
Discuss all subjects openly and directly with complete trust on all sides
Have a good understanding of Resin Category & BU expectations, concerns or preferred direction.
Have a good understanding of other cost reduction activities being performed within the area of responsibility
Represent the interests of the area of responsibility within the procurement organisation
Facilitate strategy implementation
Work efficiently to execute group or BU purchasing strategic direction for the Resins category
Manage strategy implementation according to or exceeding plan and monitor for compliance
Identify, understand and resolve roadblocks to implementation - ensuring saving targets are secured & reported.
Communication
Take ownership of topics and ensure response/resolution within a timely manner
Communicate the current procurement strategic direction, as it relates to the area of responsibility as needed
Ensure that the needs of the BU\'s and the category are effectively represented in the Purchasing Strategies
Identify Category Savings opportunity
Work closely within the area of responsibility to identify saving opportunities, which by their nature may not be considered at central level or due to BU / category dynamics being specific in nature
Communicate opportunities centrally to the relevant CPM to be addressed either centrally or locally
Track savings opportunities using GSTT tool
Support implementation of key savings/TCO opportunities
Perform category specific procurement activities
Assist GPD and CPM in driving category procurement strategic direction and initiatives
Perform analysis to support decision making process and identification of opportunities
Support category strategy development
Sustainability - Point of Contact
Be the central point of contact for resins category regarding activities in the sustainability area. This specifically covers (but not limited to):
Supplier developments in Post-Consumer Resin (PCR) & Advanced Recycled Materials (ARM), the latter also known as pyrolysis, taking resins back to \xe2\x80\x9cbasic building blocks\xe2\x80\x9d
Customer requirements for PCR
Interaction with Amcor globally, representing AFAP\'s position on the above two points
Development and detailing AFAP\'s roadmap to achieve Amcor\'s Sustainability commitments (The \xe2\x80\x9cPledge\xe2\x80\x9d; Green House Gas; Envirowaste; Net Carbon Zero)
Other related initiatives, as required
Category support
Work seamlessly with the team regarding all aspects of strategy implementation and synergy programs, as required - this may involve, negotiation support, data gathering, identifying key contacts, etc
Market information
Maintain an expertise in the geographic and category specific to the area of responsibility
Develop and maintain industry/market knowledge (i.e. be the subject matter expert) and support with relevant analysis. Know the market, supplier spend, priorities, needs, etc.
Manage price tracking process
Drive Best Practice & common approach
Ensure BU/category initiatives follow the Amcor sourcing process - i.e. commonality of approach
Actively identify, communicate and support the sharing or development of procurement best practices, either locally, regionally or within the central organisation.

Be fully able to develop and utilise procurement tools and processes, acting as a key user, implementation resource or promotion agent for delivery of procurement best practice within the full procure to pay process, for the area of responsibility
Integrate purchasing into core business process at BU/category
Own and implement procurement tools and process for the Resin team
Qualifications/Requirements Knowledge and Experience
University degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering or Commerce background preferred)
Minimum of 6 - 8 years of relevant work experience in procurement
Fluent in English and one other language
Relevant experience in an upstream or downstream company with a mature procurement function
Experience in market and benchmark analysis at a broad level
Innovation process experience considered advantageous
