Adecco is partnering with a local FMCG company (with a presence in Western countries) and we are looking for a dynamic individual to join their business as a Category Management Lead. This is a newly created role, reporting directly to the CEO to lead and nurture the category management team. The role entails setting the strategic direction and priorities for the product range, developing a winning assortment that reflects the company brand, and steering initiatives to foster growth and profitability.
The Job:
Ensure that the overall product portfolio accurately reflects Company branding.
Devise and implement product development strategies by employing a comprehensive approach that includes strategic demand planning and consideration of supply-side dynamics.
Formulate and execute a revenue management strategy, incorporating pricing and promotional tactics to support sustainable, long-term profitability across various regions.
Monitor external market movements, utilizing these insights as crucial inputs for the Company\'s product strategy.
Key person to align forecasts with significant activities like category product launches, campaigns, and other demand-generation initiatives.
Create Objectives and Key Results to steer the Company\'s category management team. Ensure that reporting and analytics yield actionable insights for business advancement while identifying potential risks and ensuring an appealing product mix.
Recruit, lead, inspire, and develop employees to foster business and talent growth.
The Talent:
Minimally 5-6 years of relevant experience in the retail industry coupled with a strong background in buying/merchandising. Additional knowledge of the US FMCG market is a definite plus.
Ability to be hands-on in operations, highly driven and motivated, with strong track records in the execution of strategies to bring about positive change to the business.
At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role to lead and manage a team.
Ability to communicate in Mandrin to liaise with native Chinese-speaking counterparts based in China.
