Telenor Procurement Company (TPC), established in 2017 and based out of Singapore, operates as a subsidiary of the Telenor Group. We deliver Global Category Management as a service to the Telenor Business Units and beyond, taking full responsibility for the end-to-end Sourcing process and performance of global spend categories. Functioning as one Global Procurement team across all Telenor markets, we enable Telenor\xe2\x80\x99s strategic ambitions by becoming a centre of expertise in the pursuit of efficient operations. About The Role

As the Category Manager you will play a key role in Telenor\xe2\x80\x99s business transformation initiatives for Cloud and Network virtualization. The Cloud strategy will give Telenor Business Units with ability to digitally transform their business with the best infrastructure, platform, industry solutions and expertise. You will support, define, and implement the sourcing strategy for Cloud and Application virtualization across the Business Units, working in close collaboration with Telenor Group functions.

Being part of the TPC Core & Network Cloud team you will be also responsible for end to end category management, identifying, and realizing cost saving initiatives that deliver real business value in the category across all of Telenor\xe2\x80\x99s Business Units as well as establish appropriate supplier relationship management for assigned suppliers.

In addition, Telenor Procurement Company is a home for new focus area related to providing procurement services to 3rd parties.

Other main tasks will be:

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, track record of building relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
• Ability to componentize complex problems, prioritizing the most impactful initiatives and driving disciplined execution.
• Ensure compliance with policies, processes and achieve targets. Evaluate and standardize contract requirements across Telenor Business Units;
• Manage weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational meetings, manage escalations, and continuously drive the organization towards our goals.
• Be accountable for the delivery of agreed savings and value-add targets

• Ensure the delivery of turnkey projects, equipment, and services across the category
• Manage and develop effective and beneficial supplier relationships

Profile

The ideal candidate should have experience from relevant role and be a professional eager to develop yourself within strategic sourcing. He/she should have an academic understanding of strategic sourcing and category management as well as spend analysis. The following personal characteristics will be critical to succeed in the role:

• Strong business knowledge in telecommunications landscape
• Strong ability to counsel and influence decision-makers by creating clear recommendations that will be presented to relevant decision makers in the executive management.
• A problem solver \xe2\x80\x93 capable of dissecting a complicated problem and evaluating it systematically
• Strategic thinking, see the big picture and make sure activities are aligned with business needs
• Demonstrate commitment, maturity, flexibility, problem-solving capabilities and speed in response to business and challenges
• Knowledge of sourcing techniques and demand management & demand forecasting methods
• Familiar with contract setup activities such as specification definition, contract terms and conditions setup
• Excellent communication (written, verbal) and interpersonal skills to positively influence people to make the appropriate decisions and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Ability to deliver and articulate a presentation confidently and effectively to a wider project committee and management.
• Process-oriented and possesses a strategic mindset with the ability to have a holistic view.

• Inter-cultural sensitivity and excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• High level of integrity and ethics

Qualification And Experience Requirements

• University degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or accounting
• Minimum 5 years in a procurement / contract management / vendor management role
• Relevant experience in cloud, applications and telecommunications is advantageous
