You will leverage sales and market data to identify opportunities, forecast demand, and ensure products align with customer needs, market demand, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Category Strategy & Performance
Develop and execute category strategies to achieve sales, margin, and growth objectives.
Manage category budgets, forecasts, and product assortments to optimize performance.
Analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities.
Develop competitive pricing strategies based on market dynamics and product performance.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to plan and execute promotional campaigns.
Conduct product training sessions for sales teams to enhance product knowledge and selling effectiveness.
Product & Inventory Management
Partner with procurement and sales teams to forecast demand and ensure product availability.
Monitor stock levels and demand fluctuations to maintain optimal inventory.
Identify slow-moving stock (SLOB) and work with sales teams to reduce and manage excess inventory.
Maintain accurate and updated product data to support sales and logistics functions.
Vendor & Supplier Management
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support business objectives.
Negotiate pricing, trading terms, and promotional activities with vendors.
Ensure new products meet internal quality standards and are launched according to company guidelines.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Minimum
5-7 years of experience
in Category Management or a related commercial role.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
Proven track record in developing and executing category or product strategies.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
Proficient in MS Office and data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.).
Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
