The Pan Pacific Orchard presents the pinnacle of design by award-winning WOHA, located in Singapore\'s prime district Orchard Road.

The 23-floor destination hotel redefines the city\'s landscape with four themed open-air terraces of distinctive design concepts - Forest, Beach, Garden and Cloud.

Nestled amidst the Forest Terrace is new signature restaurant Mosella, which will introduce a sharing concept of Mediterranean cuisine with a refreshing Peruvian twist. The Beach Terrace will bring a resort-like experience to the heart of the city, and above, the Garden Terrace will be home to Florette, the Champagne & Oysters specialty bar. At the highest levels of the Cloud Terrace, level 18 will house Orchard\'s highest pillarless ballroom, Claymore Ballroom.

The Role

Be part of an amazing team at PAN PACIFIC ORCHARD SINGAPORE to redefine the city\'s landscape.

The Catering & Event Services Manager is responsible to source, secure and contract local social / private catering events. He/She is responsible for achieving catering revenue goals by actively securing, up-selling each social / private catering revenue for revenue maximization. He/She also handles event management process for this social segment.

Expectations:

Handles and actively supervises the management of social catering accounts.

Work closely with the sales team to generate catering leads with close follow-up and monitoring of leads leading to conversion.

Identifies, qualifies and solicits new social catering business to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals.

Responds to incoming social catering leads and solicit partnership with other business partners for leads generation.

Conduct sales blitzes and tele-sales to develop new social business.

Demonstrates an understanding of competitors\' major strengths and weaknesses and selling / pricing strategies.

Source for partnership opportunities with freelance wedding organisers, bridal retails and other merchants to generate leads and create exposure for the hotel.

Maximizes revenue by up-selling packages and creative food and beverage.

Works with Director of Catering and Events to create, implement and execute annual sales plan addressing revenue, customers and sales activity plan based on owned portfolio to achieve the overall catering segment.

Implement and execute catering sales promotions / initiatives.

Closely monitor owned catering account revenue and business production. Adjusts strategies and key actions to achieve the targeted goals.

Follow through event management flow process from the initial stage until the end of the event or group departure. Be visible to organiser and clients during their event / group and constantly seek feedback on guests\' satisfaction.

Gains understanding of the property\'s primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution both prior to, and during the event.

Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).

Talent Profile

We are looking for a self-motivated \'hunter\' with excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as good understanding of the wedding and social segments in the market. You should have an eye for detail yet creative and nimble with ability to adapt to ever changing requirements and needs of customers.
