Job Description


Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager / Medical Director, the Centre Manager will be responsible for the daily operations and smooth management of the Centre. He / she is to ensure business sustainability via prudent management of resources. The Centre Manager will lead a team of staff, consisting of nurses, care staff and allied health professionals to deliver care duties in the centre. He / she will contribute and lead Day Hospice developments, working closely with members of the multi-professional team members to ensure consistency of approach and intervention. The Centre Manager will be actively involved in the planning and transition of the current Day Hospice to the new premise. Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, schedule programme activities for clients in the Day Hospice setting.
  • Evaluate and initiate new programmes half yearly or as required.
  • Promote active engagement and tailor participation of programme to clients\xe2\x80\x99 needs, interests, choices and abilities.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate innovative and therapeutic activities suitable for End Of Life (EOL) clients.
  • Organize and manage events (briefing, logistics and coordination) with the Volunteers Management and Fund-Raising team.
  • Ensure that the team attend continuous internal and external training to upskill their skills and knowledge.
  • Collate, review and prepare required monthly submission of statistics and service report to Medical Director.
  • Develop relevant policies for Day Hospice incorporate with MOH guidelines and to review periodically.
  • Lead development and audit of the standards related to Day Hospice.
  • Participate in MOH audits and accreditation.
  • Monitoring of department key performance indicators.
  • Recommend solutions or innovations to improve work processes.
  • Manage Transport Fleet and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Participate in the workplace health safety and emergency preparedness exercise.
  • Perform good resolution skills to resolve clients &/or Next Of Kin feedback and complaints and to address in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Conduct evaluation of programmes and collate feedback to identify areas of improvement and implement quality control and compliance measures for Day Hospice.
  • Co-ordinate and participate in case discussion of clients\xe2\x80\x99 management.
  • Ensure the efficient use of resources to meet Day Hospice objectives.
  • Maintaining inventories and medical equipment maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Degree holder or equivalent, with health professional background.
  • Minimum 3 years in operational management role or with managerial experience.
  • Experience working with MOH or other relevant stakeholders in the healthcare industry.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and under time constraints.
  • Ability to lead people and manage clients from diverse background and level.
  • Possess a passionate and sincere disposition in serving the clients with EOL conditions.
  • Team player with strong communications, interpersonal and organisational abilities.
  • Compassion, positive attitude, flexibility, adaptability to new things, customer service oriented.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Competent/Proficient in MS office applications.
  • Able to work with multi-disciplinary team.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $4,500.00 - $5,400.00 per month Benefits:
