Details of the Division and Team: Deutsche Bank’s Investment Business is responsible for the origination, sale, structuring and trading of fixed income, foreign exchange, derivatives and money market products. Investment Banking has established itself as one of those global leaders in these products by combining its unique distribution franchise with its pricing, structuring and execution expertise. The Global Finance and Credit Trading(“GFCT Asia”) team in Singapore supports business and is responsible for ensuring accurate trade capture of complex trades and appropriate model usage. The team also provides timely, accurate, independent valuation and risk information to trading desks. We are looking for an intelligent, proactive and highly motivated individual to work in our team. The role will involve oversight of the daily and month end PL process, accurate trade capture, upfront trade review, business face off as well as getting involved in other initiatives/projects. The role requires strong stakeholder management with Front Office, Infrastructure Groups and other Finance teams across multiple locations.

Your key responsibilities:

• Daily Oversight around the business P&L, including timely issue identification and resolution. Involves liaising with offshore teams and Front Office . Understanding of drivers of the daily PL etc.
• Performing P&L analytics and providing P&L explanation and commentary to various stakeholders across Finance and the Business..
• Providing Oversight around the Month end close process.
• Maintain and manage key control processes and improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Work closely with trade support, country finance and other infrastructure areas to ensure accuracy and reporting of the trading desks P&L and Balance sheet.
• Provide analysis and information in response to ad hoc request from various areas within the Bank. Ie CFO Business.
• Understand and analyze the root cause of exceptions, take ownership of exceptions and actively drive remediation
• Work closely with stakeholders and partners in Front Office, Market Risk Management, Global Valuation Group & Operations to standardize to improve PL process.
• Oversight around the Business’s regulatory Balance sheet and RWA reporting.
  
  

Your skills and experience:

• 7 years of working experience with of 5 years in a financial institution or investment bank
• Broad knowledge of banking products such Loans, CDS, Bonds and FX.
• Strong inter-personal skills as constant interaction with stakeholders and partners is expected .
• Proficient in Microsoft Query, Python and Alteryx. Experience in SQL, Tableau, VBA and C++
• Analytical and thorough, whilst being able to communicate complex information to a wide variety of stakeholders.
• A strong team player.
• Possess intellectual curiosity in valuation problems (all aspects of quantitative finance and methodologies)
• Have the skills to drive continuous improvement of processes and workflow.
• Degree – in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Accounting

Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirement applies.
