Job Description


The Digital Third Party Business Activity Owner (BAO) is accountable for activity and/or processes performed by Third Party vendor relationships who currently provide services to the APAC/EMEA CGW Digital Organization. The BAO ensures that the third party performs the activity or process in a safe and sound manner and in compliance with Citi\xe2\x80\x99s policies and standards as well as applicable laws and regulations. The BAO owns all aspects of the third-party relationship, understands the risks and to ensure that appropriate mitigating controls are established.

This would be achieved through adhering to the requirements of the Third Party Policy & Standards and implementation of relevant corrective actions where gaps are identified. This role requires strong communication and project management skills and a sound knowledge with respect to Risk and controls environment. The function of the role is critically important to help maintain a safe operating environment through mitigation of key third party related risks across the CGW Digital organization.

Responsibilities:

The incumbent would work closely with the Third Parties within the CGW Digital organization and support in the accomplishment of the following tasks:

  • Complete the planning requirements in terms of defining the business need, completion of the TP-RAP forms, address clarifications and ensure timely approval of TP-RAP.
  • Collaborate with sourcing manager to conduct applicable sourcing events such as uploading TP-RAP, triggering Due diligence etc.
  • Complete the Due diligence activities and completion of applicable controls like Compliance assessment, Cloud Architecture Review Team (CART), Cross Border Data clearance (CBDC), TPISA, Application Vulnerability Assessment (AVA), Exit Strategy Plan, Record management requirements etc. Partner with the relevant stakeholders to ensure timely completion of the Due Diligence Assessments and obtain the \xe2\x80\x9cGo\xe2\x80\x9d confirmation.
  • Obtain relevant management and committee approvals, Regulatory approvals if applicable, finalise the contract in consultation with the sourcing, Legal and the business teams.
  • Setup appropriate payment systems to the Third party and assign the TPO as applicable on an ongoing basis.
  • Proactively work with sourcing manager to complete the contract renewal process as per the guidelines outlined in Contract renewal/amendment procedures, complete the Material Change Identification and Attestation (MCIA) form.
  • Co-ordinate with functional SMEs and/or third Party to create/obtain artifact to close all pending Due Diligence gap disposition items (Go with Gap controls).
  • Conduct Periodic review of contract MIS to identify the contracts nearing expiry date and proactively work with sourcing manager to complete the contract renewal process
  • Complete applicable ongoing monitoring (OGM) activities such as CASP+ validation, Annual third party compliance (ATPC), Records management assessment, Insurance coverage, HR Management, COB assessments, Customer complaint monitoring, Reliance on Subcontractors, Anti-Bribery Assessments ,Exit strategy etc .
  • Address the standard gaps identified by TPU as part of the ongoing monitoring assessments and update One TPU tool for closure
  • Periodic review of BAO escalation dashboard and OGM pending/overdue MIS and ensure closure of all ongoing monitoring assessments before the due date.
  • Complete the exception approval form to remediate a gap in which a third Party will not adopt a new protocol.
  • Complete the off-boarding process, Termination plan as per TP-RAP applicability and verify all actions required on the checklist have been completed and overseen, as outlined in the off-boarding procedures

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s/University degree
  • 8-10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in risk & controls and governance, preferably in banking

  • Effective influencing and relationship management skills
