The Chef will play a vital role in developing food serving, recipe formulations, ingredients sourcing, staff training and management to support the brand\'s growth.
Position: Chef
Salary: $4500 SGD - $7000 SGD
Job Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to the restaurant\'s menu or specific recipes, ensuring that each dish meets quality standards. 2. Following the established menu and recipes while also contributing ideas for new dishes, improvements, or variations to keep the menu appealing and innovative. 3. Managing the kitchen workflow efficiently, including coordinating with kitchen staff, organizing food preparation tasks, and ensuring that all orders are completed in a timely manner. 4. Maintaining high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation, conducting regular inspections to ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet the restaurant\'s standards. 5. Monitoring and managing ingredient levels, overseeing stock rotation, and communicating with the kitchen manager or head chef to ensure a well-stocked and efficient kitchen. 6. Adhering to strict hygiene and sanitation practices, including maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen environment, following safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements: 1. In depth knowledge of traditional Chinese cuisine, especially in managing ingredients, controlling expenses, and introducing innovative menu items about Hunan cuisine. 2. Capable of independently developing new dishes, having innovative capabilities to offer new flavors and dishes to attract customers and maintain competitiveness. 3. Candidates with managerial experience in the food and beverage industry are preferable. 4. Exceptional communication abilities, encompassing strong verbal and written skills, are required. 5. Encompassing effective communication skills in both Chinese and English. 6. The role demands relocation and frequent international travel, underscoring the necessity for mobility and flexibility.
