Challenging the status quo, we are redefining hospitality with seamless, fun, cool and smart interactions.The Chief Engineer is responsible for the planning, coordination, and management of all engineering activities within the organization. This includes overseeing engineering related projects and its maintenance. He/she must ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Chief Engineer also plays a critical role in leading the engineering team, fostering innovation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. He/she shall provide technical leadership and direction in all areas of engineering.Primary ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management

• Lead and manage the engineering team, provident guidance and performance evaluation
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment
• Develop and manage the engineering department\'s budget
• Ensure cost-effective use of resources and materials
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives

Project Management

• Oversee and manage the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards.
• Manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Communicate project progress and technical information to senior management, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and present reports, proposals, and technical documentation
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth project execution and communication.

Technical Expertise & Safety Assurance

• Provide technical leadership and direction in all areas of engineering.
• Review and approve engineering designs, plans, and specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Implement and monitor quality control processes.
• Promote a culture of safety within the engineering team.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in technology.
• Encourage the development and implementation of innovative engineering solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ Degree in Hospitality Management or have at least 10 years of working experience in a hotel
• A strong understanding of local law relating to Engineering
• Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
