Imperium Commodity Search is working with a metals trading house in Singapore on their search for a CFO to join the company. Our client trades a range of base metal products across the Asian and African markets with an impressive growth path over the past few years and recently increased credit lines/financing. To assist with their growth in the coming years they are in search of an experienced CFO with a strong experience on debt raising, debt capital markets and trade finance/credit raising.
Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire finance function of the trading business including tax, reporting, controls and trade finance
• Work with senior management on sourcing debt and working debt capital markets (DCM) to raise finance
• Main point of contact for new credit relationships with banks, ensuring efficient and growing trade finance lines
• Prepare end of year report and statutory requirements of local government and tax offices in countries of operation
• Work closely with senior management on identifying capital raising opportunities and alternative finance transactions
• Involvement in the financial performance of the company, working as a commercially driven CFO focused on overall bottom line growth and access to credit

Requirements:

• 10+ years experience in a Finance Director or CFO position, ideally within a trading environment or commodity firm (can be metals, agricultural or energy)
• Excellent knowledge of trade finance, credit facilities and alternative finance
• Good knowledge of DCM / Debt Capital Markets with a proven track record in raising finance/credit lines within a trading house
• Relevant finance qualifications, certificates and tax experience
• Good understanding of local tax and financial reporting law and process in Singapore/APAC region
• Located in Singapore or able to relocate
