ROLE OVERVIEW

This role plays a key strategic and tactical leadership role providing stewardship in driving the sales strategy to position the company at the forefront of the specialty assistance industry. Oversee company operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources. Develop and implement plans for profitable growth. Manage relationships positively whilst ensuring leadership obligations are met.
This role is responsible for aligning sales priorities with business strategy through establishing, driving and coaching a strong sales team across the market, and for guiding and governing:

  • Strategic Sales and Distribution Direction
  • Development and Monitoring of Sales Plans and Multi-Channel Activities
  • Account and Relationship Management
  • Digital Marketing and Innovation
  • Local Sales Teams towards achievement of Revenue Targets
  • Processes and streamlining of the processes across the different locations
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Strategic management of the end to end sales and distribution functions for travel, roadside, other assistance and speciality insurance products.;
  • Support leaders to provide strong and consistent leadership across all facets of the sales function;
  • Drive company\'s overall business strategy through identifying potential opportunities for growth and expanding service to existing and new clients;
  • Work with key executives to scope out new distribution channels and sales opportunities;
  • Develop and share within the organisation industry, market and customer intelligence;
  • Networks regularly for business growth opportunities and uses networks to effectively stay attuned with market and competitor intelligence;
  • Negotiate high level contract terms with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Oversee portfolio prospecting in order to ensure the viability of sales campaigns and portfolio growth remains in line with business strategy and objectives;
  • Ensure whole of business account budgets and targets are developed, managed effectively and achieved;
  • Collaborate closely with Executives in all areas to ensure profitability and client service levels are maintained;
  • Lead the management of key issues affecting intermediary relationships and manages escalated complex client matters to ensure that the client\'s expectations are met and the long term relationship with the client is strengthened;
  • Diversify product and client portfolio of the company by successfully developing and growing new lines of business as well as acquiring new clients;
  • Motivate the team to ensure the goals, objectives and financial targets of the company are achieved; and
  • Adhering to all relevant legal regulations applying to the businesses conducted by the company
REQUIREMENTS
  • Tertiary Qualifications in business administration, commerce or related disciplines
  • Demonstrable experience in a Senior Sales Management role in the insurance industry, over a sustained period of time.
  • Strong understanding and familiarity with local market, distribution channels and competitors.
  • Demonstrated evidence of the development and implementation of strategy, particularly relating to sales, and proven success meeting significant sales revenue targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, driving commercial opportunities and negotiation processes.
  • Strong ability to build effective relationships and collaborate with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the business and with external clients, and broad organisational influencing skills in complex organisational structures.
  • Solid attention to detail, and ability to analyse information to identify problems and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, with a strong ability to relate to a variety of people in a variety of situations
  • Proven track record in leading teams and ability to develop and lead successful and dynamic growth-focused teams
  • Results and customer orientation, including focus on ensuring that the expected levels of service are always delivered to clients and their customers and prospects at all times.
  • Proven high level of professionalism, enthusiasm, maturity and honesty in daily interactions.
