As part of the bank\xe2\x80\x99s Customer Experience (CX) & Design team, the Chinese language content designer (1-year contract) is expected to partner with content and product designers to develop Chinese-language copy that is clear, consistent and empathetic.

About the BOS Design Team & this role

We have spent almost two years growing the Bank of Singapore CX & Design team while developing a foundation of key experiences across our different platforms. We aim to design intuitive, fun and beautiful solutions that help our colleagues, prospects and clients.

Throughout the design process \xe2\x80\x94 from new webpages and client apps to new user experiences and messaging on social media channels \xe2\x80\x94 you\xe2\x80\x99ll envision where clients are in their journey with the Bank of Singapore, how to support them, engage them and motivate them to go further with us.

This 1-year contract role is for the Content Strategy and Management team, with high potential for conversion to a full-time opportunity. We work closely with other team members and stakeholders across disciplines, including engineering, research, OCBC group brand communications and other business units.

We will need a portfolio showcasing experience producing Chinese-language content across client segments, publishing platforms and product industries.

Who we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

As a Chinese language content designer, you should be a self-starter who\xe2\x80\x99s versatile enough to plan and write Chinese content for web and mobile interfaces while maintaining our brand tone, voice and style.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll be involved in creating Chinese content and design for webpages and research articles, while contributing insight and expertise on the design of interaction flows, product tours and feature launches for Chinese-speaking clients.

Experience in journalism, content strategy, UX/UI and information architecture will help you to do well in this role.

Things you\xe2\x80\x99ll be doing:

\xc2\xb7 Take the lead on writing Chinese content for client-facing and internal banking client touchpoints in partnership with product designers.

\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with product owners, developers, and bank-wide stakeholders to understand requirements, capabilities and resource limitations to generate solutions.

\xc2\xb7 Lead a content-led project from end-to-end, present Chinese content solutions in different stages of design across different client touchpoints and segments. Experience in user journey mapping and content strategy helps here.

\xc2\xb7 Write thoughtful, inclusive Chinese language content that can easily be localised and published on mobile, tablet, and desktop platforms.

\xc2\xb7 Contribute to our team\xe2\x80\x99s content strategy planning for longer-term projects with content solutions prioritisation recommendations.

Qualifications

Experiences and skills we\xe2\x80\x99d like you to have:

\xc2\xb7 The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of work experience where they research, write, present and publish their work to Chinese-speaking audiences on a range of platforms as this role will focus on targeting Greater China region.

\xc2\xb7 You should be a clear verbal communicator who can effectively present your work to both design and non-design audiences (e.g. business, technology, brand comms).

\xc2\xb7 You should be proficient at writing, editing, translating and improving Chinese content to make products easier to use and processes easier to understand. A familiarity with interface language, product naming and taxonomy is appreciated.

\xc2\xb7 Be ready to give and seek feedback from teammates and stakeholders to measure and iterate on work done.

\xc2\xb7 A familiarity with content creation, user experience, research and publishing processes to influence product decisions, team direction and strategy is important.

\xc2\xb7 Visual thinking, design principles and storytelling skills all help you succeed in this role. Experience with Figma, Adobe CS, Invision is appreciated.

\xc2\xb7 Be ready to learn new tools and approaches on the job. We hope you\xe2\x80\x99re a curious and fast learner who knows how to ask the right people the right questions.

\xc2\xb7 You should have a strong portfolio showing a range of Chinese writing experience across platforms, styles and industries. Mobile-first and social media content writing in Chinese is essential for this role.

\xc2\xb7 A basic understanding of front-end technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript etc) is appreciated but not necessary.

\xc2\xb7 A degree in Journalism, Communications, HCI is preferred. However, all related fields of experience will be considered.

Bonus points

\xc2\xb7 You have journalism experience.

\xc2\xb7 You have private banking and wealth management experience.

\xc2\xb7 You have passion projects that display your resourcefulness, comfort exploring outside your comfort zone or ability to simplify complex issues.
