Interpreting architectural or engineering designs and using computer-aided design (CAD) software to create blueprints and plans Working closely with architects, engineers and designers to understand the scope and requirements of a project Ensuring the accuracy and precision of drawn plans by adhering to standard drafting techniques and principles Updating designs and drawings based on feedback from architects, engineers or construction teams Calculating dimensions, weight limitations and requirements in materials Archiving and maintaining a database of drawings and blueprints for future reference * Complying with safety standards and regulations in the preparation of drawings
