Job Description

The specific tasks of a Claims Coordinator includes, but not limited to the following:

• Verifies and process Philhealth claims of patients;
• Verifies and process HMO claims of patients;
• Process and collects company's claims of HMO and Philhealth;
• Prepares monthly aging of receivables from HMO and Philhealth;
• Assists doctors and/or ophthalmologists with in-house procedures such as laser, injection, suture removal and lacrimal apparatus irrigation as needed
• Conducts preliminary eye exam, obtain vital signs and applies eye medication to patients in accordance with approved nursing protocol;
• Provides teaching and educational material to patients and/or families, which may include diagnosis, tests and procedures such as laser, diagnostic tests, angiography, or basic eye check-up, safe and proper use of equipment, and use of medications;
• Performs accurate and complete admission assessments of patients;
• Maintain healthy and conducive environment for patients and Medical Doctors;
• Maintains confidentiality regarding patients and families;
• Explains ophthalmic procedures and prior/subsequent medical doctor examination;
• Evaluates and updates the patient's plan of eye care procedure to facilitate the achievement of planned and expected outcomes;
• Prepares medical doctor's room, computer, equipment, lenses and supplies;
• Interacts with patients, families and other visitors in a courteous and helpful manner;
• Monitors and resolves customer service issues and provides feedback regarding patient's satisfaction results;
• Monitors and documents the patient's condition and the effectiveness of eye care and/or interventions;
• Efficient in Microsoft Office software esp. MSExcel

Job Types: Part-time, TemporarySalary: Php11,000.00 - Php12,000.00 per monthSchedule:

• 8 hour shift

Supplemental Pay:

• 13th month salary
• Performance bonus

• Davao City: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Claims Coordinator: 1 year (Preferred)
