Global Client Manager

What can you expect?

Reporting to the Multinational Consulting Group Leader, the primary focus of this Client Manager is to work with other regional Client Managers, located outside of Asia, to identify and execute on opportunities within the Asia region to drive profitable revenue growth through sales while ensuring service excellence and client retention. Client Managers bring the best of Mercer as solution architects to establish solutions that reflect a clear understanding of client needs and priorities. The Client Manager is the value creator and trusted advisor for both clients and internal teams. Client Managers must be expert strategists, relying on a broad depth of content knowledge coupled with excellent facilitation skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.

The role requires a senior executive with strong, visible and reputable leadership in the firm with the ability to win new business. The Client Manager is a strong individual contributor, influencer and thought leader within the company, recommending and executing strategies and plans that have a direct impact on how the business performs.

  • Business \xe2\x80\x93 provide in-depth knowledge of industry, macro-environmental drivers (seismic shifts), competitive landscape, growth/business strategy, products/services, competitors, financials, KPIs
  • Relationships \xe2\x80\x93 develop, maintain and grow executive leadership, business leadership, HR community, other key buyer relationships
  • Workforce strategy \xe2\x80\x93 possess broad knowledge of the future of jobs, multigenerational workforce trends, org design, workforce design and architecture, and total rewards strategies
Be a Company expert
  • Capabilities \xe2\x80\x93 develop comprehensive knowledge of business strategy and structure, Line of Business capabilities, solutions and companies (Mercer and broader Marsh McLennan businesses) \xe2\x80\x93 to enhance ability to align with client needs
  • Network \xe2\x80\x93 develop and maintain strong, broad and global network of consultants to support selling and delivering client solutions

Provide sales expertise (revenue driver view)

  • Financials \xe2\x80\x93 detailed knowledge of all client and business level financial metrics; primary financial management and accountability of client\xe2\x80\x99s financial performance
  • Client satisfaction \xe2\x80\x93 ensure quality standards, resolve business, financial, or operational issues

What you need to have:
  • More than 15 years professional services and client industry experience, with a record of driving retention and growth directly with clients at the senior executive level
  • Influencing and Persuading skills with the ability to drive activities and growth across various areas of the organization.
  • Deep understanding of Mercer\xe2\x80\x99s global solutions and client business climate, global mindset and cultural sensitivity as well as global governance skills, able to maintain oversight of large, multi-disciplinary and multi-geographic teams
  • Dedication to quality in all aspects of your work performance and client services, with a passion for excellence
  • Solution focused approach and attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills; a team player who naturally maintains solid working relationships with colleagues and other relevant stakeholders
  • Outstanding communication style; able to effectively associate with various audiences, adapting your approach as appropriate. Sound listening and comprehensive skills a must.
  • Commitment to professionalism and providing high-level client service to exceed client expectations
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and manage a fast-paced workload
