The Trading Analytics client support team strive to deliver a best-in-class experience in product support, relationship management and customer communications. Our specialists build and maintain strong relationships with customers in top-tier financial institutions on both the buy-side and sell-side, ensuring their requests are prioritized and needs met. They partner with internal groups including sales, product management, operations, and technology to resolve problems or deliver enhancements. The team play a pivotal role in the retention of existing customers and increasing revenues to the business.

The Role: Application Specialist Intern, Trading Analytics

The Team: S&P Global Trading Analytics delivers cutting-edge quantitative tools which help brokers and asset managers assess trade execution quality and meet associated regulatory reporting requirements. Our sophisticated evaluation analytics for algorithms and smart order routers also provide execution quality reporting and trading intelligence to sell-side firms. Increasingly complex trade processes continue to expand the need for performance data and actionable insights to support best execution. Evolving global regulations also continue to drive increased scrutiny and market participants requirement for trusted partners who understands trade execution best practice and its impact on their compliance reporting obligations.

The Trading Analytics team strive to deliver a best-in-class experience in product support, relationship management and customer communications. We are looking for an Application Specialist/Client Service intern to join our global team, working alongside colleagues in Singapore, Sydney, London & New York.

The Impact: The successful candidate will interact with customers in top-tier financial institutions on both the buy-side and sell-side, helping to ensure requests are prioritized and resolved. They will collaborate with internal teams including product management, operations, technology, and sales to resolve problems or deliver product enhancements aimed at retaining existing customers or increasing revenues to the business.

Responsibilities:

• Gain subject matter expertise on Trading Analytics products.
• Learn the needs of different customers and work with internal product management, technical & operations teams to help deliver effective solutions to complex problems.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external partners on issues that require escalation.
• Share insights with the sales team and product managers regarding any new revenue opportunities identified.
• Learn the tools and processes used in our client service processes and contribute suggestions for improvements.

What We\'re Looking For:

Education and Experience

• Candidates should be pursuing a university degree. Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Computer Sciences related qualifications are preferred.
• Good working knowledge of main Microsoft Office programs is required.
• Interest in working directly with clients and managing relationships.
• Interest in financial markets, with a focus on trade processing and supporting technology a definite plus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Interested in the current and future direction of the industry and associated technologies.
