Operational / Administrative Duties

Scheduling patient appointments and sending patient reminders Registering patients Responding to patient and concierge enquiries and communication in good time on Whatsapp, email, phone Accurate billing on the Plato EMR platform for patients using Shield Plan and corporate insurance Strong familiarity with fees and rates of Shield Plan insurance provider and corporate TPAs Application for pre-authorisation with Shield Plan insurance providers and corporate TPAs Filing corporate TPA insurance claims on the online portals Issuing of invoices, bills and receipts Maintain clinic inventory and conduct regular stock take Assist Medical Director in compliance with MOH guidelines Procurement of supplies with vendors (consumables, lens implants, medications, equipment) Maintain an organised system of medical notes by scanning in clinical and financial documents in the EMR platform Co-ordinate with operating theatres, surgery centres, patients, and vendors when scheduling/listing surgical and laser procedures Preparation of Admissions form, Consent form, Letter of Certification, Discharge Summary, Operative Note To follow-up on outstanding payments by patients and other parties On a rotational basis: to attend to any urgent patient enquiries after hours whilst holding the on-call clinic phone

Patient Care

Financial counselling for procedures and admissions Patient advisories: pre- and post-operative instructions Dispense doctor-prescribed medications to patients Administer prescribed eye drop and oral medications to patients

Nursing

To maintain the inventory and setup of the Treatment/Procedure room Setup and assist for minor procedures in the clinic

Any other related duties

As may be assigned by the Medical Director of Ascend Eye Clinic, Dr Errol Chan, from time to time
