The Department of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS) is embedded within the National University Hospital on the same campus, and provides tertiary and quaternary care to patients with the relevant conditions. Our programs constitute National and International Centres of Excellence, including:

• Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery program
• Transcatheter, Endovascular and Hybrid Surgery program
• Uniport VATS and Thoracic Cancer Surgery program
• Aortic Surgery program
• An-aortic Coronary Artery Revascularisation program

We are seeking highly motivated candidates to join us as Clinical Associate in the fields of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery and Cardiothoracic Intensive Care. The department of CTVS provides a wide range of exposure to specialized services including Aortic Surgery, Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery, Anaortic Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery, Uniport VATS Thoracic Surgery, Endovascular & Transcatheter wire skills, Simulation training programs, and Research within the National University Hospital, and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, one of Asia\'s best medical education and research institutions.The Clinical Associate would be part of the multidisciplinary team providing day-to-day patient care in adult cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, involved in both outpatient and inpatient areas, assisting in invasive and non-invasive investigations or procedures. The Clinical Associate would also be assisting in all aspects of pre-operative, operative and post-operative patient care in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery including assistance in clinics, operating theatres, intensive care units, day-to-day ward rounds and on call duties.Our weekly schedule entails hands-on surgeries of all types, educational events, patient presentations and post-operative debriefs, mortality and morbidity meetings and a rich variety of planned or ad hoc educational events. Furthermore, our Simulation program and syllabus trains the Resident Physician along a faster learning curve to acquire the necessary skills for Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery.The candidate will have the opportunity to equip her/himself with specialized knowledge and skill, along a discussed and well-planned development plan and roadmap. Our vast academic and clinical network can be further utilized as a stepping stone for exposure and growth, in all 3 areas of academic life (Clinical - Research - Education).
