Job Description

The Clinical Director is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the agency's counselling services and programmes to ensure professional, high-quality care for service users.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Plan, implement and oversee the agency's counselling services and programmes to ensure professional standards and quality care for service users. Provide clinical supervision, and case consultation to the counselling staff. Prepare reports on counselling services and programmes. Conceptualise, implement, and manage community outreach events and programmes on mental health awareness and suicide prevention. Establish and maintain networks and collaborations with mental health and healthcare providers and relevant stakeholders. Prepare budget and funding proposals for counselling services and programmes. Develop, review and update policies, procotols, and standards to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of counselling services and programmes. Conceptualise and implement counselling service strategies to support the strategic directions and growth of the agency. Advise the Executive Director and Management Committee on the strategic directions and growth of counselling services. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Accredited Master or Doctoral degree in Psychology (preferably Clinical Psychology) or Counselling (preferably Clinical) from an accredited University. Minimum of 8 years of relevant clinical experience, including at least 5 years in clinical supervisory and service planning or programme development, preferably within mental health services. Registration or eligible for registration with a recognised professional body (eg Singapore Psychological Society). Strong competencies in the delivery of mindfulness-based psychotherapies, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. * Proven expertise in clinical supervisory, service planning and programme development.
