Job Description


The Clinical Research Coordinator will be part of a multi-disciplinary team coordinating the care of chronic kidney disease patients under the Strategies for Kidney Outcomes Prevention and Evaluation (SKOPE) study. Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic assessments to identify eligible patients for the study.
  • Perform consent-taking, baseline and outcome assessment.
  • Administration of study questionnaires.
  • Perform 6-monthly telephone calls for outcomes during the study period.
  • Coordinate the care for patients with other providers (health coach, dietitian etc.).
  • Arrange for follow-ups, laboratory tests and procedures as scheduled or ordered by the care team.
  • Perform accurate documentation in the delivery of patient care.
  • Send reminders for appointments and track, recall and reschedule of defaulted appointments.
  • Facilitate communication between NUP, SHP and Duke-NUS on recruitment and follow-up procedures.
  • Coordinate and attend meetings.
  • Maintain a record of patients recruited into the study and other data as required.
  • Comply with guidelines and safe practices according to organizational Work Instructions and Policies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Report adverse events, unsafe practices and incidences.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Assist to review and evaluate work processes in consultation with physicians or other health-care providers where required.
  • Take on additional responsibilities or tasks as assigned by the Reporting Officer.
  • Attend associated training courses to acquire new knowledge and skills.
  • Assess own learning needs and undertake learning as appropriate.
  • Participate and support organizational projects and events.
  • Demonstrate proper use and care of the clinic equipment and consumables.
  • Maintain cleanliness of service/work stations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing, or Bachelor Degree in Life Science, Medical Sciences and/or related medical fields.
  • Preferably with some working experience in healthcare.
  • Self-motivated and has interest in patient care
  • Effective coordination skills
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal and communiclation skills
  • Able to converese in English, mandarin, Malay or other local dialects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications
