Cochlear\'s Asia Growth Markets (AGM) headquartered in Singapore, the AGM region incorporates countries within South and South-East Asia, including Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. AGM currently uses both direct and distributor business models. We are a relatively young region, with ambitious but achievable growth targets.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a qualified Audiologist to join our growing team in Singapore. Reporting directly to the Country Manager, Singapore, the Clinical Sales Specialist is responsible for driving business growth and performance ensuring Cochlear Singapore achieves its sales targets.

These goals are to be achieved partnering closely with the Health Care Professionals in offering support and expertise on Cochlear\'s devices in their practice; working with Cochlear Recipients to adopt latest technology; counselling Potential Candidates (pediatric and adults) and their family members to embark on the journey with Cochlear. He/she will promote industry leading clinical and surgical support, raise awareness in the country and ultimately impact on our business performance.

The position requires clinical expertise, comfort with attending and addressing surgical needs, and the continuous development and application of business acumen.

Key Areas of Accountability include:

  • Driving and supporting activities that achieve Sales Targets
  • Work as the Clinical Specialist to drive clinical excellence to Internal and External Customers
  • Deliver and enhance the Customer Experience by directly supporting our recipients
  • Lead and drive Demand Generation activities focussing on candidate identification
  • Effective use of CRM tools
About You. As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you\'ll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Essential Experience and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Audiology, or Biomedical engineering
  • Minimum two years\' experience in clinical application/ business development roles
  • Clinical certificate of competency (ASA/AcAud or Equivalent)
  • Registration with country professional registration board (SAPS)
  • Successful applicant will demonstrate flexible work style, good communication skills (English, Mandarin) and ability to work well independently as well as in a team setting. Additionally, any other regional languages like Bahasa will be valued.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% in the Asia Growth Markets/South-East Asia and Asia Pacific region
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Post-graduate qualifications (Diploma or Masters) in Audiology
