JOB DESCRIPTION:

KEY PURPOSE OF ROLE:

This position will be primarily responsible for providing Mitral disease clinical and educational support for physicians as well as occasional training and mentorship support for team members. The primary geographic scope is Southeast Asia but clinical support may also be needed across APAC, including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, ANZ, Korea, and India.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist customers and other clinical stakeholders with MitraClip case planning, including assessing patient suitability.
• Provide clinical case coverage during the MitraClip procedure.
• Interact with customers and other clinical stakeholders for any post-case MitraClip discussion and evaluation.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders and physicians within the MitraClip account (i.e. Interventionalist, Echo Cardiologist, CV Surgeon, Valve Coordinator, Nurse Unit Manager, General Cardiologist) to generate awareness and referrals.
• Assist in conducting customer training workshop (including echo workshops) ranging from on-boarding training activities to continuous education to maintaining and increasing physician skill levels.
• Train and educate staff of clinical trial(s) and commercial indication inclusion criteria\xe2\x80\x99s
• Optimize process regarding patient screening and procedure scheduling
• Call on referring physicians to present the MitraClip technology and clinical data.
• Assist in conducting team member training and field mentoring as needed.
• Provide feedback to team members on their clinical capabilities.
• Advice physicians and team members on complicated cases.
• Most MitraClip cases would be covered across Southeast Asia but additional cases can be across APAC.
• Support local and national conferences / programs.
• Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
• 50\xe2\x80\x9475% travel required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS/BA in life sciences or marketing preferred.
• Minimum EXPERIENCE/TRAINING REQUIRED
• Minimum of 8 years Sales Experience / Medical Clinical Support
• Medical training (RN, Perfusion, etc.) background strongly preferred
• Proven track record in the sales / clinical introduction of sophisticated medical therapeutic, procedure enabling devices that requires significant clinician training
• Experience with products for use in interventional cardiology and cardiac surgery
• Experience in sales of new concepts

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle and process customer feedbacks/complaints/product experience in timely manner and according to Abbott Global Commercial Quality System, Abbott Medical Asia\xe2\x80\x99s and Abbott Medical country\xe2\x80\x99s policy and requirement
• Execute the job responsibilities according to applicable standard operating procedures of Abbott Global Commercial Quality System, Abbott Medical Asia and Abbott Medical Country Affiliate
• Ensure applicable standard operating procedures of Abbott Global Commercial Quality System, Abbott Medical Asia and Abbott Medical Country Affiliate are executed
