Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 14 years of experience in performing customer-facing services focused on translating enterprise customer needs into Google Cloud architectures and approaches.

• Experience in writing software in one or more languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or MBA in Computer Science or Engineering field.

• 7 years of experience in demonstrating technical client service.

• Experience in customer-facing migration, including service discovery, assessment, planning, execution, and operations.

• Experience in one or more of the following: software development, managing large-scale Windows/Linux environments, network design and deployment, databases, storage systems.

• Experience in networking and system design of load balancers, firewalls, and VPN in architecting, developing, and/or maintaining production-grade systems.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and problem solving skills.

About the job

As a Cloud Architect, you will work on large, transformational projects with customers to design large-scale, cloud-ready infrastructure and application architectures, develop solutions in migrating, building, modernizing, maintaining applications in Google Cloud Platform, troubleshoot potential platform challenges, and more. As a lead on these projects, you will provide leadership around customer delivery, scoping and estimating services delivery and resource profiling during pre-sales. During delivery, you are expected to lead the technical cross-functional Professional Services Organization (PSO)/Partner team to deliver on the customer objectives.

In this role, you will be working with Google's most strategic Cloud customers, and with the team, you will support customer implementation of Google Cloud products.

Responsibilities

• Work with customer technical leads, client executives, and partners to manage and deliver successful implementations of Google Cloud solutions becoming a trusted advisor to decision makers throughout the engagement.
• Work with internal specialists, Product and Engineering teams to package best practices and lessons learned into thought leadership, methodologies, and published assets.
• Interact with sales, partners, and customer technical stakeholders to manage project scope, priorities, deliverables, risks/issues, and timelines for successful client outcomes.
• Advocate for customer needs in order to overcome cloud adoption blockers and drive new feature development based on your field experience.
• Propose solution architectures and manage the deployment of cloud based distributed virtualized infrastructure solutions according to complex customer requirements and implement best practices.
