The Role Responsibilities

  • Technology powers Standard Chartered Bank\'s vision and strategic agenda through the provision of innovative and efficient technology solutions; we will deliver greater value to our business stakeholders; we will improve the skills and flexibility of our people and work more effectively with our internal and vendor service partners.
  • Enterprise Technology (ET) is responsible for providing application and Infrastructure services to all business lines within the bank namely CCIB, CPBB, Data and Global Functions. The Cloud function lies within ET and is responsible for engineering, building and supporting the Global IaaS and PaaS platforms for Public Cloud as well as Private Cloud in Standard Chartered\xe2\x80\x99s footprints across the globe. The global team spans across the United Kingdom, India, Malaysia, China and Singapore.
  • We are looking for a Delivery Lead for leading and facilitating the delivery aspects, impediments, planning, risk, reporting, design workshops, contract & vendor onboarding due diligence will all stakeholders across the bank for all deliverables. Role has responsibility to drive the outcomes on time with high certainty, proactively manage risks and remediate any findings. Manage costs aspects in the platform delivery of both implementation and resource allocation. Promptly attend and resolve incidents or disruption. Ensuring that Standard Chartered cloud environments are consistent with Bank audit and compliance requirements and consistent with the design ethos. Focus all efforts against objective of Consistent, Secure and Resilient platform.
Strategy
  • Plan and execute operations and initiatives; publish portfolio health, accomplishments and milestones, reports & metrics and track portfolio issues (with action plans), risks (with mitigation strategies).
Business
  • The team covers areas such as cloud adoption and migrations, Enterprise Cloud Security Posture Management solution, Platform Orchestration for Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure), Cloud Audit Management, Cloud Assurance.
  • Work closely and act as interface when required with various stakeholders such as SCB\xe2\x80\x99s Cyber Defence Centre, CISO organisation, Cloud Security, CIO Cloud Factories, Technology Strategy & Architecture, Risk & Audit teams to proactively monitor and report all critical aspects of the team\xe2\x80\x99s initiatives to enhance platform security, integrate centralised security tooling with Cloud. In addition, manage cloud risks. operational resilience, and regulatory compliance audit engagements as well as enable CIO teams to adopt and migrate to the cloud platforms.
  • Support Cloud Team in facilitating with necessary stakeholders for external and internal audits and bring them to successful completion.
  • Build long-term, value-added relationships with key stakeholders, typically in risk and compliance organizations across all lines of defence, to retain and enhance continuous trust in Cloud Platforms and services.
  • Proactively monitoring and reporting all critical aspects of any future initiatives assigned to the team, to enable the stakeholders, including the Cloud management team, to have a consistent, transparent and accurate view of their status as well as their probable trajectory.
  • Partner across technology units to drive technical solutions and develop/deliver them to meet the prioritised business initiatives. Engage customers proactively and provide timely response or updates to customer, where required.
  • Be a recognised and trusted partner for the team, stakeholders, senior management, business application owners and other technology teams who seek to make use of Cloud based infrastructure.

  • Track, report and drive delivery of initiatives, whilst optimising resources.
  • Provide Service Performance Reports at agreed schedule.
  • Anticipate issues to plan actions and preventions, ability to identify and recognise the root causes of problems, apply creative problem-solving, and own/drive improvements.
  • Improve operating processes, measure & track productivity, and coordinate organisational procedures for optimised efficiency.

Risk Management
  • Ensure a full understanding of the risk and control environment within the Cloud organisation.
  • Ensure onboarding of technologies are done properly with Legal, Compliance and Security Teams.
  • Act quickly and decisively when any risk and control weakness become apparent and ensure they are addressed within an appropriate timeframe and, if necessary, escalated through the relevant committees.

  • Understand and comply with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, and regulations, including those governing anti-money laundering, terrorist financing, and sanctions; the Group\xe2\x80\x99s policies and procedures; and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk and compliance matters.
  • Embed the Group\xe2\x80\x99s values and code of conduct to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes, and regulations among employee\xe2\x80\x99s form part of the culture.
Main contact point for all contract liaison including:
  • Ensuring compliance with SCBuy processes, contract management, periodic assessments.
  • Manage Statement of work orders with partners & vendors including ensuring smooth onboarding, tracking.

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\xe2\x80\x99s Values and Code of Conduct.

Our Ideal Candidate Technology / Process
  • 10 years of expertise in developing and implementing Operational Governance framework
  • Excellent stakeholder management on Enterprise scale preferably utilising Amazon Web Services
  • Project Management Professional (PMP/PMI) Certification to be in line with Project management standards in the bank.
  • Proficient contract, vendor management to ensure smooth delivery of the services.
  • Strong experience in planning and executing operations as well as new projects
  • ITIL orientated approach around deployment and infrastructure control on Enterprise level
  • Cloud Technology knowledge to handle and run Change, Incident and Problem management
  • Prior experience within large Financial Institution
  • Successful data driven Continuous Service Improvement delivery
