They are now expanding the team across the regions, seeking for Cloud Engineer who has solid understanding of how Kubernetes works essentially in kernel/user space to be part of the team, and based in Singapore.

We are looking for a result oriented, self-starter who can dive deep into core engineering solutions and think innovatively, but in a pragmatic way to engineer a highly available Multi-Cloud Platform.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement a state of the art Container / Kubernetes platform to enable our customers to gain a faster time to market
• Be recognized as trusted partner for business application owners and other technology teams who seek to make use of Cloud based infrastructure

• Prioritize technical resources against a pre-defined roadmap and funding model
• Provide technical design expertise to application and delivery teams
• Introduce & support emerging technology and best market practices to ensure consistent and state of the art systems are built, and business achieves enhanced benefits

• Special responsibility for:
• Master effective communication and act as the interface between Customers and Development Teams
• Interact with customers and/or functional peer group managers
• Perform other duties as assigned or required

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Solid understanding of how Kubernetes works essentially in kernel/user space. What are the must to have pieces in Kubernetes architecture.
• Present these terms in 1 or 2 sentences. OCI, CRI, CNI, CSI, etcd, kubelet, kube-proxy, api-server, containerd, runc.
• Cluster administration skills - Provision/Backup/Restore/Upgrade/Delete cluster.
• RBAC knowledge and design in cluster.
• Understanding of basic k8s development patterns. Operator, CRD+controller.
• Understanding of cluster networking / overlay network. How c2c, p2p, p2s, e2i traffic is routed. Familiar with one or two CNI implementations (Flannel, Calico, Weave, Cilium).
• Should be able to design network policies to fulfil zero-trust principal.
• Hands on experience on container security. Familiar with CIS/FIPS/NIST benchmarks. Be able to design solutions to make the cluster pass these benchmarks.
• Encryption at transit/rest solution design in cluster.
• Hands on experience on cluster monitoring/alerting/logging capabilities.
• Golang programming skills.
