We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Infrastructure Cloud Engineer to join us on a 12 month contract to start with. The successful candidate will be part of the Platform and Cloud Hosting team, responsible for deploying, supporting, and maintaining a global Private Cloud infrastructure (compute, storage, software-defined networking, etc.). This role involves collaborating closely with internal teams to drive cloud adoption, ensure seamless platform performance, and implement innovative solutions in both Private and Public Cloud environments.Role and Responsibilities:As a Platform and Cloud Engineer, the candidate will:
Install, configure, and maintain the cloud platform\'s underlying resource and control plane infrastructure (hardware and software)
Release projects and conduct maintenance operations in production with minimal impact
Serve as a technical reference for internal teams, advising on Cloud best practices and innovative solutions to drive business value
Assist internal teams in accelerating their Cloud adoption and implement best practices, while providing consolidated reporting
Create technical content, such as reference applications, starter kits, and patterns, to engage developers with Cloud potential
Represent the team in regional and global forums where technical expertise is needed
Act as a mentor, enhancing team knowledge in software development and cloud patterns
Required Skills:
University / Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Passionate about new technologies, sharing knowledge, and solving complex challenges
Strong automation mindset with minimal tolerance for repetitive tasks
Extensive experience with Linux OS, OpenStack, CEPH, Docker
Familiar with commodity hardware (Dell, HPE, etc.)
Experience with Kubernetes and databases (PgSQL, NoSQL, etc.)
Knowledge of public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) is a plus
Interest and experience in Cloud technologies
Well-organized, self-motivated, fast learner with a growth mindset
Strong team player with excellent collaboration and communication skills
