Commercial Coordinator

Job Description



The Commercial Coordinator is responsible in the commercial operations including Sales, Marketing and Distribution functions. From day one, this individual will contribute to existing commercial activities, while assisting with the execution of the new initiatives aligned with the company and hotel goals. The ideal candidate must be an organized multitasker able to handle diverse activities at once and meet tight deadlines.

Reporting directly to the Commercial Director and under the supervision of TLA VP Marketing & Distribution, the successful candidate will be working closely with the following team members:

  • Hotel Commercial Lead
  • Revenue Management
  • E-Commerce and Distribution Channels
  • Brand and PR
  • Corporate Marketing Coordinator
  • Corporate Graphic Designer

Responsibilities:
(1) Sales
  • Admin support including making appointment or preparing draft contracts
  • Conduct in-market research / analysis
  • Collate data for reporting purpose
(2) Marketing
  • Local marketing execution
  • Leverage on brand/regional campaigns for hotel packages on hotel\xe2\x80\x99s channels
  • Support local language translation
  • Coordinate content translation based on hotel\xe2\x80\x99s key feeder markets
  • Partnership & influencer marketing (STB -tourism organization, SHA \xe2\x80\x93 local hotel association and other local partners such as attractions, retails, restaurants, bloggers and online platforms)
  • Social media management
  • Provide input for marketing calendar
  • Coordinate for hotel package creation and keeps promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with graphics designer.
  • Vendor/agency coordination
(3) Distribution
  • Content updating across channels (content will be provided by SS creative team)
  • Support test booking for brand/hotel campaign
  • The Hotels Network management
(4) Other
  • Other ad-hoc duties as per assigned by the management

Qualifications:
  • Diploma/ Bachelor of Marketing or equivalent

Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in commercial department (Sales, Marketing or Distribution)
  • Experience in the hotel or hospitality industry is an advantage
  • Fresh grad are welcome to apply. Training will be provided.

Personal qualities & attributes:
  • Demonstrable experience in sales, marketing or distribution together with the potential and attitude required to learn
  • Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Passionate about hospitality and travel trade.
  • Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets
  • Self-motivated with the ability to deliver under pressure and without constant oversight
  • Resilient, adaptable and comfortable with changes
