Our client is one of the largest logistics & supply chain solution providers in SEA, working on a groundbreaking multimodal project that promises to revolutionize trade competitiveness and connectivity in Vietnam and beyond.
They are searching for an accomplished and worldly Commercial Head with extensive experience in logistics and supply chain operations - especially for airfreight, bonded and non-bonded warehouse leasing/management, and cargo terminal operations.
In this role, you will work directly with the CEO and executive team to drive commercial growth, manage client relationships, and optimize revenue across warehousing, cargo handling, and distribution.
Please note that this position requires RELOCATION to Hanoi, Vietnam without exception. Highest priority will be given to candidates that can relocate immediately, or within 1 month.
This position is open to candidates from anywhere in the world, but strongly leans in favor of candidates who possess regional experience in SEA at the director, VP, or GM levels. Expat compensation package provided.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the commercial function across key accounts, sales, marketing, tendering, and contracts.
• Develop and execute the company's commercial strategy for logistics, warehousing, and cargo terminal services.
• Spearhead negotiations for key contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and long-term partnerships.
• Manage all aspects of pricing strategy, margin optimization, and revenue forecasting.
• Oversee operations for bonded and non-bonded warehouses, ensuring compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with operations teams to align service delivery with customer expectations and contractual commitments.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, government, regulatory agencies, and industry stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to guide business strategy.
• Provide commercial insights to support strategic investments, infrastructure development, and operational improvements.

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 15 - 20 years of experience in the logistics/freight forwarding industry, with 5 years in a senior leadership function.
• Extensive commercial background managing warehouse leasing and airfreight/cargo terminal operations in SEA. Experience with other modes of transport will also be beneficial.
• Demonstrated success in developing commercial strategies, managing P&L, and achieving revenue targets.
• Fluent or near-fluent in English. Professional working fluency in other Asian languages will be a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. MBA preferred.
