Overview:

An established engineering firm is seeking a Commissioning Engineer / Manager to take charge of the end-to-end commissioning scope for large-scale data center projects.





The role will oversee all testing, validation, and handover processes to ensure systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with design intent and client requirements.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage commissioning works across electrical, mechanical, and control systems. Develop and implement commissioning plans, test procedures, and integrated systems testing (IST) protocols. Coordinate closely with design, construction, and operations teams to align schedules and ensure readiness for handover. Supervise subcontractors and vendors during system testing, ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards. Review and validate commissioning documentation, reports, and sign-off records. Track and report progress, highlight potential risks or delays, and recommend corrective actions. Ensure all systems achieve functional performance and meet operational acceptance criteria. Support troubleshooting, performance testing, and client witnessing during final stages.

Requirements:

Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering. Relevant commissioning experience, ideally within data center or mission-critical environments. Strong technical understanding of M&E systems such as HV/LV, UPS, generators, chilled water, CRAC/CRAH, BMS, and fire protection. Prior exposure to hyperscale or colocation data center projects.
