Job Description

Job purpose To expand the broking desk using official contacts to help develop business and obtain new customers and opportunities. Assist and offer trade execution services for the existing client base.

• Manage execution and clearing team
• Assist to boost new business revenue for the company through client on-boarding and internal cross-selling opportunities.
• Expand fundamental competence in commodities market/s and keep up an up to date knowledge of the products and markets in which you work.
• Constantly push the Company Brand and proactively seek feedback from industry participants through various means, including trade calls, surveys, industry events, trade shows and conferences.
• Identify new markets, and opportunities.
• Understand the desk\xe2\x80\x99s business strategy and continually improve the operating model.
• Manage pre and post-trading operational duties including trade reconciliation, trade booking, etc. in compliance with regulations and internal company guidelines
• Perform & on-board OTC & Listed clients
• Execute and support relationships and networks in the Commodities Market
• Provide clients with high-quality trade execution in options, futures and arbitrage and daily recaps
• Support awareness of the risk and compliance culture and fulfil company regulations for which you have any level of accountability
• Implement independent judgement and act with integrity, responsibility, skill and diligence to avoid conflicts of interest and escalate issues as appropriate
• Recognise the risks and controls on your desk; what could fail, what controls you must avert/discover or contain these
• Report risk events promptly and log them within 24 hours via appropriate channels
• Report all loss events, or near misses that could have resulted in a loss, in excess of the reporting threshold
• Observe standards of market conduct and make sure you are aware of, understand and comply with all regulatory, exchange or clearing house requirements applicable to your role
• Complete any mandatory training by the required deadlines
  

• Extensive knowledge of the Exchange Traded Futures and Options space front to back
• At least 2-3 years of experience in execution, ideally OTC and via Electronic platform on a relatively active futures exchange
• Proficient in both English and Mandarin
• Exposure to and interest in futures, swaps and options preferred
