The Job

We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic intern to join the CNN Communications Asia-Pacific team, based in Singapore. You\xe2\x80\x99ll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and be able to get a behind-the-scenes look into how the world\xe2\x80\x99s leading international news brand operates. It will be a great opportunity to strengthen your research and communication skills while contributing ideas to future publicity campaigns.

The Daily

• Distribute press releases and bylines to relevant APAC contacts
• Manage CNN media lists for press release distribution purposes
• Monitor print and on-line media for CNN coverage and follow industry trends
• Compile CNN coverage reports
• Assist in research when preparing briefing notes for anchors / correspondents / executives for media interviews and speaking engagements
• Draft and publish social media posts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn
• Continually monitor social media activity

The Essentials

• Studying towards a Bachelor or Masters degree in Communications, Public Relations or related disciplines
• Be able to commit for 20 to 24 weeks full-time between July to January
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Excellent communication skills and resourcefulness in a fast-paced environment
• Be organized, detail oriented and an independent team player who is able to prioritize tasks and deadlines
• Experienced with social media platforms.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
• Proficiency in Asian languages - able to do Chinese-English translation would be a plus
• Have work experience in a PR agency is a plus
