Communications Manager, South East Asia Growth MarketsDescription -Job Summary

  • This role is responsible for leading research efforts to understand trends and preferences of the country/market while drafting communications for the market. The role supports local sustainability and corporate responsibility initiatives, and identifies potential partnerships in the country/market in alignment with organizational goals. The role analyzes customer feedback to improve country/market communication strategies, and accordingly adapts to local communication channels. The role identifies innovative solutions aligned with long-term goals for the specific country/market.
Responsibilities
  • Leads research efforts to gain insights into local market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape, and provides recommendations based on research findings to refine communication strategies.
  • Supports communication efforts related to the organization's sustainability initiatives and corporate responsibility programs within the country/market.
  • Identifies potential local partnerships and sponsorships that align with the organization's goals, and supports the negotiation and execution of partnership agreements.
  • Develops and leverages relationships with key influence and decision makers in assigned countries/regions/markets.
  • Conveys internal messages, updates, and announcements to employees within the country/market.
  • Collaborates with customer support or service teams to gather and analyze customer feedback and sentiments, and uses feedback to improve communication strategies and address customer concerns.
  • Understands the communication channels specific to the country/market, while localizing and customizing efforts to meet the customer's needs and drive intended user outcomes.
  • Liaises with senior stakeholders on project issues within the country/market, coordinates across organizational lines, and serves as a business consultant while leveraging industry acumen.
  • Sets up and manages project teams with marketing specialists to design, prepare and successfully execute marketing and communication activities that realize the objectives.
  • Identifies new opportunities and recommends innovative solutions specific to the country/market that are aligned to the organization's long-term goals.
Education & Experience Recommended
  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Public Relations, International Studies, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in content creation, PR, or a related field.
