Reporting to the Director of Activities and Community Operations, Food Technology Advisor, the incumbent will provide assistance in all areas of Food Technology and provide support to food educators where the kitchen is utilised for activities, lessons and community programmes. Main Responsibilities

• Provide the community at UWCSEA East with an effective cooking experience by providing active support, well-organised resource management and preparation of kitchen equipment and food requests.
• Ensure a safe, hygienic and well maintained Food Technology kitchen.
• Provide support with the development and setting up of the Food Lab spaces and work effectively with the providers.
• Manage the schedule and planning of the facility for bookings and programmes.
• Assist with the Risk Management of the Food Technology room and accompanying SOP procedures.
• Perform administrative duties such as but not limited to preparing materials for lessons and individual order lists.
• Support all Food Technology classes in the Activities Programme and potentially run one programme per week.

Person Specifications

• Minimum Diploma
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar capacity
• Passionate about working with and building relationships with staff and students, with excellent written and spoken English
• Able to thrive under pressure, meet deadlines and changing priorities.
• Able to work cohesively in a team-based environment as well as independently with a positive working attitude and a willingness to be involved in all aspects of school life.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate initiative.
• Must be organised, meticulous and proactive.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, working knowledge of Windows/Mac platform/Google Suites and collaborative software such as google calendar.
