Job Description


Lead and co-ordinate the community strategy for the Mojaloop Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) working group overseen by the Mojaloop Center of Excellence. Establish vibrant communities to solve the most challenging and pressing engineering problems in Central Bank Digital Currencies. Build and execute programs that grow the Mojaloop open-source community and empower contributors to deliver excellence. Coordinate active collaboration and effective communications between global payments ecosystems, communities in Central Bank Digital Currencies and engineering to deliver financial inclusion to everyone, everywhere. Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating a clear compelling community strategy for open source and the CBDCs Working Group
  • Synchronize Working Group activities with the broader Mojaloop community, ensuring continuity and collaboration across the ecosystem
  • Establishing a sustainable interactive and vibrant platform for community participation and collaboration, leveraging tools and programs in place for the broader Mojaloop community
  • Moderating, engaging, and supporting participants in online forums
  • Celebrating community successes and recognizing top contributors
  • Creating and managing new community programs
  • Organizing meetups, events, and other engagements
  • Coordinating with internal Mojaloop functions (product, content marketing, etc.) to support community initiatives across the international Mojaloop network
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years participation in/establishing an open-source community
  • Familiarity with CBDCs, Blockchain (desirable) and interest in digital assets and infrastructure
  • Building awareness and community around Digital Currencies (desirable)
  • Working in a team of technical marketers and/or developer advocates.
  • Awareness of enterprise software or hardware technologies and proven track record of successful project management.
  • Interacting with other open-source communities relevant to CBDCs
  • Ability to define goals, measure results (KPIs), and communicate impact of community-building
  • Awareness of how to employ thought leadership and active dialogue around CBDCs to influence community mindsets and behaviors
  • Proficiency in tools for community management (e.g. Slack, Discourse, Gitter, Twitter, Github)
  • Working in international development and financial inclusion missions (desirable)
