Your Future Team:

Compliance, Conduct & Operational Risk Chief Data Office (CCOR CDO) is responsible for performing the CCOR Chief Data Office responsibilities which include daily data quality management oversight alongside the implementation, oversight and governance of the Firmwide Data Management Standard and Policy. As part of this role there is a requirement to partner with Corporate Technology teams to identify data quality issues daily, and ensure they are reported and tracked in accordance with the Firmwide Data Office Policy. This role will also require partnering with other Lines of Business to help influence Firmwide policy and/or best practice. CCOR CDO is responsible for various projects/initiatives that focus on the implementation of the Firmwide Data Standard and Policy requirements, improving data quality, operational efficiencies and controls for the CCOR organization, including the Firmwide Data Owner initiative. As a CDO we are accountable for CCOR adherence to the Firmwide Data Standard for all data consumed and produced within CCOR across all data stores.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Data Owner Delegate Lead - Relationship management between data owners, CCOR stakeholders and upstream data providers. Responsibilities include monthly governance meetings, controls reviews, maintenance and management of annual certifications, data use, data landscape and the change management framework
  • Integration and evergreening of Firmwide Data Standard, supporting expansion across all CCOR data stores
  • Manage data issues throughout the life cycle by effectively collaborating with internal stakeholders from LOBs, Technology, Operations and CCOR to perform data analysis and document data issues, their impact to CCOR stakeholders, root cause and communicate remediation plans
  • Participate in weekly Working Groups to triage new data quality issues, assign severity, and review closures of data quality issues, with input from CCOR, Technology and Operations teams
  • Governance of feed file monitoring into and throughout the Compliance environment and escalation of delays / incompleteness to the appropriate stakeholders
  • Collaborate effectively with regional and global CCOR CDO colleagues to complete ad hoc projects and initiatives, including creating business requirement documentation and participating in testing activities
  • Metric / KRI/KPI production, commentary and auxiliary reporting across stakeholder groups and workstreams
  • Adhere to a robust controls framework; regularly engage with Controls partners to ensure ongoing integrity and consistency of processes and procedures

What skills and experiences we are looking for:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working in a financial institution within Compliance, Technology (Business Analyst), Operations/Middle Office, or Project Management
  • Bachelors degree in Finance or other related disciplines
  • Experience in and end to end exception/issue management process, preferably in resolving data quality issues: effective analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Experience in defining/evolving and documenting processes, identifying efficiencies, and ensuring adherence to the appropriate Controls framework
  • Self-motivated and delivery focused: able to manage concurrent deliverables and meet deadlines while maintaining quality output
  • Accuracy and attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication, influencing and relationship building skills
  • Knowledge of data flows/systems management; familiarity of LOB applications to support trade, transaction and/or client reference data
  • Knowledge / experience with the following will be an advantage: Excel, SQL, Alteryx (or similar data mining tools) Word, PowerPoint & Visio
