The incumbent is expected to assist the Management of Compliance Department and Head of Compliance Testing, to conduct bank-wide end-to-end process testing across departments and functions. To provide assurance to Management that there are adequate controls and processes in place in the bank to comply with the regulatory requirements as well as to mitigate the FCC risks faced by the bank.

Compliance Testing are quasi-audit checks on the processes of BOS FCC teams as well as other business units of the bank to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in accordance with OCBC Group Compliance Testing methodology.

MAIN DUTIES

  • Maintenance and update of the Compliance Risk Assessment for the bank.
  • Develop and execute a robust Compliance Testing Plan to monitor compliance with rules, laws and regulations.
  • Manage the planning, execution, and reporting of compliance testing reviews according to the Compliance Risk Assessment and Testing program.
  • Conduct issue validation to ascertain risks have been addressed satisfactorily.
  • Work with and positively engage bank-wide stakeholders to address regulatory risks with the appropriate internal controls.
  • Develop effective relationships within Compliance Testing function, OCBC Group Compliance Testing, bank-wide stakeholders, including Group Audit and Quality Assurance.
  • Escalation of significant observations and regulatory breaches to the Executive Risk Committee.
  • Manage Compliance testing or its function at BOS satellite locations.
  • Promote knowledge sharing of best practices across all business units as well as within Compliance Testing function.
Qualifications
  • 5 to 8 years of audit and/or compliance experience within the banking/finance industry (preferably Private Banking).
  • Strong knowledge of business processes and IT technologies utilized in financial institutions preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Familiar with Banking regulations and Compliance FCC or AML functions will be essential.
  • Experience in deploying data analytics in planning and testing.
  • Degree holder, preferably in business, banking, or finance
