Advise the business and support functions to comply with applicable legal, regulatory and internal requirements on Compliance, AML and KYC.
Provide prompt and constructive advice to business and support functions on Compliance, especially around client due diligence; ie profiling of merchant.
Keep abreast of local legal and regulatory changes, and perform gap analysis where necessary. Act as key liaison officer with business and support functions to understand the change, and facilitate them to take required action timely. Specific to Payment Service Act.
Ensure all internal and external regulatory reporting, transaction monitoring, and screening alerts are properly and timely handled.
Contribute to Company\xe2\x80\x99s Compliance projects, initiatives and risk management.
Cultivate high Compliance, Risk awareness and culture in the organization, not limited only to training.
Timely respond enquiry and requests from regulatory authority, law enforcement unit, senior management and internal audit; specifically, for STRs, assist with fraud investigations and chargebacks.
Support and liaison with Hong Kong and China offices where necessary.
Job Qualifications:
Degree in Law, Finance, or related disciplines.
Minimum 4 years of experience in Compliance acquired from regulatory authority, payment services, fintech firm, financial or banking industry.
Strong knowledge of KYC and AML legal and regulatory requirements, compliance principles and corporate governance.
Relevant Compliance and AML qualifications would be advantageous. Eg. IBF accredited schemes.
Keen eye for details and inquisitive.
Good command in English and Mandarin (preferred).
Proactive and resourceful candidate with ability to work independently.
Ideally comfortable in startup environment with lean structure.
