An exciting Compliance Officer (six months contract) job has just become available at one of the most respected global private banking institutions based in Singapore. This is a role that will require you to implement the organisation\'s compliance programmes to manage risk exposure and combat financial crime.

About the Compliance Officer (six months contract) Role:
In this business critical role, you will be responsible for supporting the remediation project with a focus on periodic reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement the organisation\'s compliance programmes to manage risk exposure and combat financial crime with a focus on CDD/KYC reviews, and ensure that regulatory and internal policy requirements on KYC/CDD are met
• Conduct periodic reviews and ensure that regulatory and internal policy requirements (e.g. sufficiency of SOW corroboration, name screenings, etc.) are met
• Review and escalate irregular activities and highlight risk of sanctions to identify preventative or corrective actions
• Support the monitoring of analytical activities to identify financial crime risks
• Identify and track financial crime risks - second level check on completed screening done during reviews

To succeed in this Compliance Officer (Six Months Contract) role, you will need to be well-versed in financial crime developments and trends within the private banking industry.

Key Requirements:

• Prior experience working in audit firms, banking industry in control/support functions such as internal audit, BRM, client onboarding or compliance
• Meticulous as well as the ability to think strategically on issues and propose potential resolutions proactively
• Dedicated with the ability to work under pressure
• Keen learner, keeping abreast of changes and new approaches within the financial crime compliance function
• Integrity
• Detail-oriented
• Driven to excel
• Ability to adapt well to changing priorities, and can effectively prioritise workflows to meet critical deadlines
